Isulan, Tacurong, Lambayong and the Allah Valley sit inland; Palimbang and Kalamansig face the Moro Gulf. Two different hazard pictures in one province.
Sultan Kudarat is really two provinces in terms of hazard. The larger, populated part is inland: the Allah Valley and the plains around Isulan, Tacurong, Lambayong, and President Quirino. A separate western strip, Palimbang and Kalamansig, sits on the Moro Gulf behind a mountain range.
Screen the one you are actually buying in.
The Allah River and the wider Rio Grande de Mindanao system drain this area. Flat, fertile valley floor beside a large river is floodplain, and floodplain floods.
For an inland address, read together:
Ask about duration as well as depth. On a broad valley floor water can sit for days, and days is a different kind of damage from hours. The related read is Cotabato City and the Rio Grande, which covers the downstream end of the same system.
The ground rises toward the boundaries with South Cotabato and Maguindanao, and the western strip is separated from the valleys by mountains.
For any address on or below slope, read slope with mapped landslide susceptibility, and check the debris flow and alluvial fan flags where a steep valley opens onto flatter ground.
Palimbang and Kalamansig face the Moro Gulf. For those addresses, screen mapped storm surge exposure against elevation.
There is a second consideration on this coast worth stating plainly. The Moro Gulf has a documented history of a destructive tsunami following a large offshore earthquake in 1976. A hazard screening does not rate tsunami and PHIVOLCS is the authority, but the practical preparation overlaps with everything else on an exposed coast: know where the nearest genuinely higher ground is and how long it takes to reach on foot. The difference between the two phenomena is explained in tsunami and storm surge are not the same thing.
Central Mindanao has active faulting and the region experienced a damaging sequence of earthquakes in 2019 in the neighbouring provinces. Read the distance from your coordinates to the nearest mapped active fault as a design input for a licensed structural engineer. The wider version is in buying in North Cotabato or Davao del Sur.
The road connection between the inland valleys and the Moro Gulf coast crosses the mountains, and mountain roads close. If you are buying on the western strip, find out how the town is actually supplied, by road or by sea, and what happens when the route is cut.
A hazard screening reads public national datasets at a point and reports mapped susceptibility, elevation, slope, and distances. It does not rate tsunami, model irrigation systems, or measure soil at depth. PHIVOLCS, the National Irrigation Administration, the municipal engineering office, and a licensed geotechnical engineer cover what it cannot.
CheckHazard does not replace a professional geotechnical or engineering survey.
